A Little History about Father’s Day
Originating in West Virginia, the concept of an annual celebration of male parenting and fatherhood was first put forward by a quiet, local woman named Grace Clayton. Perhaps inspired by previous work done to establish a “Mother’s Day”, Clayton organised an event in the local Methodist church and had a kindly pastor oversee the service. It was dedicated to some 250 fathers whose lives had been lost in a nearby mining accident.
The holiday was not without its opposition; for many decades, Father’s Day was strongly considered a weak, grasping attempt to create an easy platform to mimic the commercial success of Mother’s Day. It took quite a while, but we see the fruits of those labors today when billions of dollars and personal hours are spent acknowledging the men of this country; because fathers should be recognized. Whether it’s a thankful prayer to the founding fathers of our homeland, or making the effort to visit Dad across town just to say “hey”, they’ve earned the right to a special day where we think of them more than usual.
What we owe our parents can’t be put in to simple words. Why not try expressing that gratitude and absolute love with a truly meaningful gift this year? Each dad is different. If he’s tired from carrying the toddlers around seven days a week, perhaps a hot stone massage – using smooth, weighty basalt stone – is the perfect gift to loosen up those shoulders and get a skip in his step. It’s approaching the end of the school season, so maybe it’s a liberating facial chemical peel that’s required to return the vigor of youth now that the worried stress is over and done?
Don’t forget that for all dads, it’s 25% off everything we offer.
Our fantastic offers aren’t limited to in-house services. If you work unsociable hours, or like to unwind in the comfort of your own home, we offer a host of cleansers, toners, hydrators and more to bring you a renewed life and vigor on a daily basis. We cater to all skin types, using all natural and organic products to make sure you’re getting absolute quality, every time you buy from Qui Si Bella.

A: We have a “blog” section of our website which is dedicated to providing news, special articles on specific treatments/products and details of any promotions we’re offering.
Q: What’s the best treatment to get for my granddad?
A: Honestly, that depends on him! We offer gentle massages which are about pure relaxation – unlike our pounding, deep tissue alternatives – which might be most comfortable. But since every granddad (or even great-granddad!) is different, there’s no one-size-fits-all gift to get. We offer a range of gift certificates if you’re unsure which route to go down!
